Pupil Chaplains

Our pupil chaplaincy team, the ‘Mini Vinnies’ are entrusted with the responsibility of giving joyful witness of Christ in our school. As Jesus Christ sent the apostles, the bearers of love, compassion and forgiveness, to proclaim the Good News to all peoples, they are also sent to to messengers’ of God’s love.

Our Pupil Chaplains have been commissioned as part of the St Vincent de Paul society and are known as the ‘Mini Vinnies’. Our Pupil Chaplains are supported by our school Lay Chaplain.

Meet Our Chaplaincy Team

Hello, we are the Mini Vinnies at St Charles’.  Our mission is to lead prayer and liturgy within our school community.  We also have to train up our future chaplains.  Here are the ways we live out our mission:

  • Lead daily prayer across the school
  • Teach pupils new prayers
  • Engage with our parish and local community
  • Give out hymn sheets and mass books at church
  • Support whole school masses
  • Welcome governors and visitors to our school
  • Be good role models for other pupils to follow
  • Meet with members of the St Charles’ Borromeo Parish and tell them about the work we do
