At St Charles’ the curriculum for science aims to ensure that all pupils:

- develop understanding of the nature, processes and methods of science enquiries that help to answer scientific questions about the world around them.

- enjoy being science learners who want to continue their interest in the subject beyond primary school.

St Charles is proud to be the lead school in the Glossop Ogden Trust Partnership. The Ogden Trust aims to increase the uptake of physics post-16 by supporting physics education and engagement for all young people (4-18), particularly those in under-represented groups. The Trust supports schools, teachers, projects and programmes that are committed to enhancing physics teaching and learning. Our school benefits from high quality physics CPD and pupils enjoy many exciting and engaging activities which the partnership plan each year.
